It's Apple Season!

Wednesday, October 3, 2012 There are two things I love about Fall in Michigan - one is the beautiful colors as the leaves begin to change and the other is the apples! They come in all colors, shapes, sizes and flavors. Everything from Macintosh, Jonagold and Cortland to Gala and Honey Crsip. My favorite is the honey crisp. It has a sweet taste but also a bit of a bitey tartness that is delicious and refreshing. According to www.michiganapples.com apples are Michigan's largest and most valuable fruit crop, with an estimated economic impact of $700 million annually.
