How To Feed Kids Healthier Foods
Sheryl Shenefelt |
Tuesday, July 24, 2012 Replacing processed foods and implementing more whole foods can seem like a daunting task, especially in today’s society. The processed food industries spend millions and sometimes billions of dollars on marketing highly processed, appealing junk foods in fun-looking packages to children. It is important, to make the time for, and put the energy into, meals and food preparation. Including children in food preparation often makes them more willing to sit down and eat those foods. Although challenging at first, in order to eat good food, someone has to do some cooking (Remember, children love to be helpers!) Meals do not have to be gourmet, but a few extra minutes here and there can go a long way towards healthier meals. Children will learn good habits to carry into adulthood and even into their own family lives. The more you practice, the more efficient you will become. If your children are healthier, you may even save on doctors visits.
